CTI Awarded R&D Funding For Moodle ERP
|
|
CTI has been awarded Multimedia Grant Scheme Funding from the Malaysian Government for the development of an Education Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Moodle ERP, as its name suggests, will seek to extend Moodle, a popular open source learning management system, to a full ERP through the development of a suite of plug-ins to add the necessary functionality, including an intelligent resource and timetable planning engine.

Centre of Technology and Innovation participated in Asean ICT Expo 2008, the region’s leading international and ICT media trade show, from 28 – 30 October at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. CTI’s Senior Technology Consultant presented papers in the Technology Symposium on “Productivity Management in Large Organizations” and “Ensuring Security with Car License Plate Extraction Technology”.

Screen Shield Suite was awarded Winner in the 'e-Community & e-Inclusion' category at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) 2008 held on 15th October 2008 at the Kuala Lumpur Performance Arts Centre. The award was presented by YBhg Dato' Badlisham Ghazali, CEO of Multimedia Development Corporation, Malaysia (MDeC) at the MSC-APICTA awards night event held on 15th October 2008 at the Kuala Lumpur Performance Arts Centre (KLPAC).

Centre of Technology and Innovation presented its Screen Shield Suite to 200 participants of the Malaysia IT Users Group Conference 2008 held on 21 – 22 July 2008 in Genting International Convention Centre. This event was organized by Share Guide Association (Malaysia) in collaboration with Multimedia Development Corporation. MDeC invited selected winners of MSC Asia Pacific ICT Awards to make a presentation to the industry about their innovative solutions.

World Congress on Information Technology 2008

Centre of Technology and Innovation participated as an exhibitor in the 16th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008) held from 18 to 22 May 2008 in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Held once every two years, the World Congress on Information Technology is a premier global ICT forum that brings together global leaders in business, government and academia. Often billed as the Olympics of ICT, it impacts global economic and social development through the exchange of policies and ideas on technology.
CTI received an overwhelming response from the visitors for its award-wining, Screen Shield suite, Intelligent Scheduling Management & Resource Optimization (iSMART) technology and Car License Plate Extraction (CARPET) technology.
