CTI participated in 17th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (17CCEM), showcasing its education to representative of governments, education institutions, NGOs and businesses from all parts of the Commonwealth.

CTI has been awarded Multimedia Grant Scheme Funding from the Malaysian Government for the development of an Education Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Moodle ERP, as its name suggests, will seek to extend Moodle, a popular open source learning management system, to a full ERP through the development of a suite of plug-ins to add the necessary functionality, including an intelligent resource and timetable planning engine.

Centre of Technology and Innovation participated in Asean ICT Expo 2008, the region’s leading international and ICT media trade show, from 28 – 30 October at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. CTI’s Senior Technology Consultant presented papers in the Technology Symposium on “Productivity Management in Large Organizations” and “Ensuring Security with Car License Plate Extraction Technology”.

Centre of Technology and Innovation participated as an exhibitor in the 16th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008) held from 18 to 22 May 2008 in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Held once every two years, the World Congress on Information Technology is a premier global ICT forum that brings together global leaders in business, government and academia. Often billed as the Olympics of ICT, it impacts global economic and social development through the exchange of policies and ideas on technology.

CTI received an overwhelming response from the visitors for its award-wining, Intelligent Scheduling Management & Resource Optimization (iSMART) technology and Car License Plate Extraction (CARPET) technology.
